Many people say they pride themselves on being 'different', yet often struggle to convince. Mr Hudson and the Library do not struggle to do anything of the sort, and have pulled off one of the most wonderfully unique albums of the year with debut album, 'A Tale of Two Cities'. Growing up in the multi-cultural surroundings of London, they have absorbed a wide range of diverse ethnic genres and moulded them all into a hip-hopy/reggaey/singer-songwritery sort-ofy blendy of music -y. Call it folk-hop (that one been used yet?).
Throughout the summer of 2006, Mr Hudson and the Library were recording in The Toyshop, Musikbox and The Pool. Dave McCraken produced the Pool sessions, and Matt Foster and Ferg Peterkin shared engineering duties across all sessions. The band and Dave used The Neve room to mix tracks.
