Therefore the scene is perfectly set for today's hippest eccentric songsmith, Patrick Wolf, and his inspired concoction of fractious electro beats and conventional pop harmonies.
The top music magazines have been raving about Patrick's third studio album, The Magic Position, which was released on February 26, and it just so happens that he was mixing it in the SSL and The Neve in the latter months of 2006. He was working with Ben Hillier and Finn Eiles over two sessions.
