After teaching herself a 3-stringed guitar she found in a cupboard aged 12, Polly Scattergood went on to become a member of the illustrious alumni of The BRIT School, where she honed her craft by writing an estimated 800 songs, (no less). After graduating she jumped aboard a trip to another one of London's musical institutions, Mute Records, who in turn sent her on her way to another, Miloco (!).
Polly Scattergood mixed parts of her debut album in Alpha Centauri with engineer Kevin Paul in 2008.

The lights may be gleaming brightly on Duffy, Lily and GaGa, but the gradual emergence of Essex art-popper Polly Scattergood and fellow alternative talents underlines the fact that it's not just the chart-tops and award pedestals which the girls look set to claim their own in 2009! 'Other Too Endless' is Polly's first single. Engineer Kevin Paul mixed the single in Alpha Centauri in June 2008. ![]() |
