The band was formed in 1992 in Downpatrick, Northern Ireland by Tim, Rick and Mark. As a 3-piece they released a mini-album, 'Trailer', and their debut LP '1977'. In 1997 they were joined by Charlotte, and recorded the title track to the film 'A Life Less Ordinary', and their second full-length record, 'Nu-Clear Sounds'. 2004 saw them release the acclaimed 'Meltdown'.
Ash have been at Miloco on a few occassions. In March 2003 They were in The Garden Studios with Graeme Stewart engineering and producing. In 2004 the band were back with Matt Hyde, engineering and mixing a live album for East West Records.
