In 2005 Garret Lee continues to build on the huge success he has had as a producer over the last few years.
In 2004, Garret spent a highly creative and productive period of time with U2, working on tracks that would become the multi million selling album "How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb". Garret ended up producing five tracks on the album, the highlights of which include the stunning "A Man And A Woman" and "One Step Closer". During the summer of 2005, Garret was once again called on by U2 for more additional production and mixes for various tracks featuring on upcoming soundtracks.
Another highlight for Garret in 2004 was producing and mixing the internationally acclaimed Snow Patrol album "Final Straw". The album has now sold over two million copies world wide, been nominated for Best Album at the 2004 Brits and has recently won the Ivor Novello award for Best Album in 2005. Garret is once again in the studio with Snow Patrol producing their follow up for Polydor.
Other highlights for Garret in 2005 were producing the stunning Editors current single "Bullets", which has seen the band get their first radio 1 Playlist and win them even more fans throughout the media. Garret has also found time to produce and mix material for Vega 4's forthcoming album. The reception from record labels as they look for a new home has been exceptional.
Recently Garret has also co produced two songs for The Freelance Hellraiser's debut for Brightside/ Sony BMG and has remixed New Order's stunning "Waiting For The Siren's Call". At the beginning of 2005, Garett produced Atlantic America's hard rockers Vaux debut album "Beyond Virtue, Beyond Vice".
In 2004 he produced three singles off Aqualung's album for Warners and produced eight tracks for BMG artist Kasabian's debut album. Other recent production work includes adding additional production and mixes to The Raveonettes forthcoming single for Sony UK. In 2004 Garett was also busy writing and recording his own Jacknife Lee album which will be released in 2005 on Fiction records. Garret also records under the alias of Jack Plank and in 2003 released an album (Island) to solid critical acclaim.
Under his Jacknife Lee alias he has in the past remixed singles by U2, Christina Aguilera, Longview, Buck 65, Elkland and Lost Prophets.
