Jimmy first began working as an assistant engineer nearly five years ago at the Pierce Rooms in Hammersmith. He worked there full-time for two and a half years - after ascending from tea-making via cable-soldering to the role of senior assistant engineer - where he worked with many of London's top mix engineers.

In January 2003, Jimmy became a freelance assistant engineer while also taking a consultancy job with db Records in A&R. During this period he came to the attention of Miloco Studios and has been working for us ever since.

His work here has seen him develop a great reputation as a recording engineer, including earlier this year when he worked on Skin's new album. He's retained his passion for A&R, and in December last year set up his own label, Bee and Smoke Records, through which he released the first single by Welsh band Texas Radio Band.
