AEA R88 Microphone review by Oli Wright
The AEA R88 mic is just one of many fantastic bits and pieces kicking about
Miloco Eight: The Pool. Not necessarily a bit, or a piece, but still definitely also spotted kicking about
Miloco's extreme live tracking room very often is studio assistant Oli Wright. The R88 has caught
the eye of Mr Wright so much in the many sessions he has worked in The Pool over the last
year, that he has ever-so-kindly offered to share his admiration for this unique microphone
with the Milc-reading public.

Altec 436C Compressor review by Joe Hirst
Over at MILC HQ, we love our reviews, but we also love our studio equipment in all shapes and sizes, ranging from our
Neve VR60s right through to our toilet brushes. So it seemed obvious to combine both passions and do this feature.
However, as much as sharing our detailed comprehension of lavatory cleansing utensils does puzzlingly appeal,
we thought we'd instead opt for providing a little insight into something a bit more glamorous, and hence present a
review on the Altec 436c Compressor, situated at our Hoxton Square studio. This month's guest reviewer is Miloco's
