Tom, Chris, Russell and Ed united in 2002 and set out on a voyage which would see them become one of the best British bands of the decade. From University cult status, to headline slots at some of Europe's biggest festivals, it's been a mighty soar to the top for Editors, who have been banging out their truly defined sharp-edged and dark indie music for the masses to adore all of the way. And here they now are, in the virtual front living room of yours truly, MILC Magazine. Meet the band...

Miloco: Name of band members and instrument of choice?
Editors:
Tom - vocal
Chris - guitar
Ed - drum
Russell - bass

Miloco: What project are you doing here at Miloco (e.g. recording, mixing or remixing / single tracks or album) and how's it sounding?
Editors: We're recording an album, and we hope it's sounding amazing.

Miloco: Which Miloco studio/s are you using and how would you describe it?
Editors: We're using The Pool room. It isn't a pool, and doesn't have a pol table. BUT it does have lots of keyboards, pedals, pianos, amps, and fun things to play around with. Exactly what we want from a studio.

Miloco: Who was your studio assistant and how was your studio assistant?
Editors: Anna (Webster) - Fantastic tea!

Miloco: How did you come about working with producer/engineer Gavin Monaghan on this project?
Editors: We went to his Cave.

Miloco: What does Gavin bring to the project that other producers / engineers wouldn't?
Editors: Bats perform a vital ecological role by pollinating flowers, and also an important role in seed dispersal. Many tropical plants are entirely dependent on bats.

A few silly questions / requests that really don't mind silly answers!! -

Miloco: The song you wished you'd written:

Editors: 'I Would Do Anything For Love But I Won't Do Bat'.

Miloco: The song you're glad you didn't write:
Editors: 'Bat Out Of Hell'

Miloco: What's the strangest rumour you have ever heard about yourselves:
Editors: BAT WOULD BE TELLING!

Miloco: You are placed in front of a time machine. Which year would you go to and why?:
Editors: Year 1. To see what it was like.

Miloco: Draw us a picture!

Miloco: Lastly, would you care to tell us a joke?
Editors: Why do bats fly at night?

...

because they can't drive
