Kicking up their feet in The Pool and Engine Room with Ben Hillier and Ferg Peterkin recently, it's been a pleasure to have witnessed the growing buzz around these chirpy Scouse rockers first-hand. Their alliance with the Arctic Monkeys will always draw comparisons, but we've been treated to enough potent waves of sound floating up through the plaster of our SE1 HQ to tell you that The Rascals have a musical journey of their very own to live out and reap rewards from. Good thing we grabbed a few minutes of their time before they well and truly set off...

Recording album first & mixing it here.

Which Miloco studio are you using and why did you choose it?
The Pool - because we're having an affair with Ben

the scamps draw a line. We trust you can imagine what it looked like

Who was your studio assistant, and how was your studio assistant?
Oli (Wright) - Great Chef, great allround

How would you describe the material you are working on?
Almost silk.

How did the working relationship with producer Ben Hillier and engineer Ferg Peterkin?
We met them during last year's African Cup of Nations.
