Alberta Cross to join Oasis on UK leg of World Tour
3rd Oct 08
Anglo-Swedish folk rockers Alberta Cross have been hand-picked by Noel Gallagher to appear as support on
four-dates of the UK leg of Oasis' World Tour later this month. The Neil Young-inspired East Londoners are amongst a selection
of bands Gallagher admires, and whom he has asked to perform on the 'Dig Out Your Soul' tour.
It coincides with the gradual return of the now 5-piece Alberta Cross, who released their debut record 'The Thief and the Heartbreaker' in 2007, having recorded and
mixed it in Miloco's Engine Room with producer Simon 'Barny' Barnicott in 2006, roughly a decade after Oasis mixed 'What's The Story? (Morning Glory)' in the same
studio. Alberta Cross are due to release a new album in 2009.
The 4 dates you can catch Alberta Cross support Oasis (that's if you can find a ticket!) are:
Bournemouth BIC Arena (October 20, 21) and
Cardiff International Arena (23, 24)
