Coldplay cover Pretenders for Christmas

Coldplay are getting festive, so much so that they have been grafting away in attempt
to conjure up a Christmas Classic. But alas, Chris Martin has divulged that however
good they are at churning out staduim-captivating, lump-in-the-throat
charity-inspiring indie-rock anthems, they are, quote, "awful", at Christmas songs.

Coldplay have been delving into The Pretenders' back-catalogue and have just-so-happened to have stumbled upon their 1983 hit, '2000 Miles', and have recorded a version which is now available for download from the Coldplay website, www.coldplay.com. Martin has also hinted at the possibility of his band attempting a cover of The Pogues' all-time advent epic, 'Fairytale of New York', which will give the public the chance to asses Chris's skills in impersonating drunken Irishmen in song.
