Courteeners name debut album
6th Feb 08

Manchester newcomers The Courteeners have fended off the suggestions for album titles
made on Soccer A.M. a few weeks ago, when the "new Oasis" appeared on the couch, and have gone
somewhat biblical in their choice for album one's name.
St. Jude was partly tracked in the
Pool and mixed in The Neve by producer Ben Hillier and Interface's Ferg Peterkin, and is set
for release on April 7.
St. Jude became the official patron saint of lost causes when his name was confused with
that of Judas, forcing the general view that devotion to Jude (not Judas) was a lost cause.
Follow?
It certainly won't be a lost cause in following the footsteps of The Courteeners this year.
St. Jude is set to be one of the most succesful records of 2008.
