Dirty Pretty Things Bid Farewell...
1st Oct 08
Dirty Pretty Things have sadly annouced they are no more. The band, led by former-Libertine Carl Barat, and which formed in 2005 from the fall-out
of The Libertines' own split, have publicly announced they have disbanded to pursue other musical projects. Although Barat was quick to mention such new
ventures would not include a Libertines reunion, despite recent rumours...
"It's been a glorious three years which we all would gladly live out again, but it is time for us to try new things, (not The Libertines)", Barat declared.
He went on to thank all fans for their support, and was quick to encourage that each of the band members have "splendid future plans". Carl himself has recently
been lined-up to talk at this weekend's In The City showcase festival in Manchester. Alongside John McClure of Reverend and the Makers fame, Barat will talk on a festival
panel dubbed 'The Importance of being Idols'.
Dirty Pretty Things came to The Pool in July 2008. We wish Carl, Didz, Gary and Anthony all the best for their future plans.
