Kate Nash wows legendary LA venue
19th Jan 08
This week saw North London pop starlet Kate Nash sell out the legendary Troubadour club
in Los Angeles, as she progresses on a tour of North America.
Los Angelean screams of "congrats on yer Brit nomination", as well as many a West Coast singalong
to definitive British pop added to a memorable night in Kate's early career. She soared through a
an hour-long set of debut album
Made of Bricks, which was recorded in Miloco's Pool and Engine
Room studios and engineered by Interface's Mark Rankin.
The Troubadour, founded by legendary promoter Doug Weston, became an iconic venue during the 1960s
West Coast hippie movement in LA, and has staged some of the biggest names in rock history over the years.
Now it can add a certain Harrow-dwelling Milocan to its no-doubt illustrious wall of photos!!
The Set List:
Intro/Play, Mariella, Shit Song, Stitching Leggings, Skeleton Song, Birds, Nicest Thing, Dickhead,
We Get On, Mouthwash, Foundations, Merry Happy, Little Red, Pumpkin Soup.
