Kate's landmark night
7th Dec 07

Shepherds Bush held their glasses high to Kate Nash on November 14, as the piano pop
starlet played to a sold-out crowd at the prestigious Shepherds Bush Empire. But
what made the Harrow singer's night just that little bit bett-ah (yep, joke's
going stale) was that her fantastic debut album,
Made Of Bricks, reached
platinum sales on the very same day. The album was recorded in Miloco's Pool and
Engine Room studios by producer Paul Epworth and Interface engineer Mark Rankin, and
has spawned hits such as
Foundations,
Mouthwash and
Pumpkin Soup,
which of course were - as always - on blistering live form down at the Empire. One
fan was so excited that she threw her bra at a 'flattered' Miss Nash - so you
clearly don't have to be an ageing Las Vegas entertainer from Wales for that to
happen...
Kate Nash's third single,
Pumpkin Soup, is due for release on 17th
December.
