Milocans in Texas: Part 3
Kate and Laura charm intimate crowds, British Sea Power
sweat it out in the Texan sun, and Noah and the Whale hang with ZZ Top!

We've still plenty of clients standing as SXSW comes into its climactic finale. Our spys
have reported back from Austin on Kate Nash playing a secret intimate show at the Driskill Hotel, playing two
previously unheard tracks. Across town, Laura Marling was charming the desert sandals off
a small crowd at the French Legation Museum, shortly after a guest collaboration with fellow
London folksters Noah and the Whale. By this point, Noah and his nameless sea mammal pal had
become acquainted with members from the most famously bearded stadium rock band of all time,
ZZ Top.
Meanwhile, as the sun blazed down on SXSW, Brightonian band British Sea Power were playing to an ice lolly-sucking crowd
in the blearing heat of the Mohawk venue, rocking out tracks from the Miloco-mixed
Do You
Like Rock Music album, as well as a couple of old crowd favourites.
