Darren started out playing in and recording bands during his school years. After moving to London in 2005, he began his career at Metropolis before moving to Assault & Battery to train under Alan Moulder and Flood. This provided him with a thorough training as well as invaluable experience and knowledge in a variety of both mixing and recording techniques.
Having gained a unique insight into the worlds of mixing, recording and production, Darren has worked closely with Alan and Flood on numerous records by artists such as White Lies, Bloc Party, Placebo, Editors and Wolfmother .
Equally comfortable using Neve and SSL consoles Darren has recently engineered for Mission District and Asian Dub Foundation. He has also worked on the forthcoming Butch Vig-produced album by Against Me!, and has also worked with a variety of producers including Gil Norton, Ben Hillier, Paul Epworth and Jim Sclavunos.
He is currently working on the forthcoming White Lies record while continuing to record and mix for new up and coming acts, combining his technical skills with his own musical abilities.
