Assistant Office/Studio Co-ordinator

A position in the office is becoming available in August 2009 for a sprightly and proactive team member who'll be involved in all aspects of the day-to-day running of Miloco Studios. This involves assisting in the co-ordination of bookings, studio staff, stock orders, equipment distribution, general office admin, providing support to the Miloco management team and anything else which may be thrown your way. You'll be based at Miloco's HQ in SE1.

Experience in a similar role is important, and some understanding of recording studio technology will be useful for candidates. You'll need to be a good communicator due to a considerable involvement in orgnaising studio staff and contacting clients. Be prepared for some early starts and late finishes!

This could be the perfect next step for anyone looking to pursue a career in studio management.

Here are some of the main duties you will be given in the role:

- Back end of bookings and accounts: ensuring sessions are paid for upfront, taking credit card payments, creating online session sheets, checking sessions are confirmed, arranging assistants for sessions, providing assistance in sending confirmations, chasing unpaid invoices, checking staff invoices and various cab accounts.

- Work experience: arranging work experience placements, showing placement workers the ropes, coordinating their day-to-day activities.

- Stock: arranging stock checks, arranging runs to Makro, arranging stock rebilling, arranging getting stock to studios.

- Petty Cash and Coffee machines: counting PC and coffee machine floats, responsible for replenishing coffee stock.

- Inventories: compiling insurance inventories for all rooms, logging and labelling of equipment.

- Crib sheets: gathering, recording and updating information on all equipment at all studios.

- Other: Helping out with general maintenance eg. getting keys cut and locks fixed, providing support for other staff in the office.
