Introducing The Motor Museum! No Compromise Sonic Landscape in a Private Paradise...

This month we're going motor mad on Merseyside! May's news bulletin is dominated by the headlines of our newest incredible studio, The Motor Museum,
which we are thrilled to now be running in partnership with producer/engineers Mike Crossey and Jim Anderson. Miloco's very first venture into the North West
of England sees us welcome Liverpool's greatest studio to our hugely exciting and dynamic group of facilities.
The Motor Museum has over the last two decades established itself as Liverpool's premier recording studio, and a hugely
important part of the North West's world famous musical legacy. It was very influential in launching the careers of bands such as Oasis, The La's, Arctic
Monkeys and The Coral, and is forever growing in its stature and popularity within the UK's recording scene.
The Motor Museum is based in a large daylit warehouse in the
fashionable Lark Lane district of South Liverpool. It is famous for its vast originality and the cool and creative vibe which help make it such a brilliant recording studio.
It has become a firm favourite for many artists, producers and engineers thanks to an exceptional variety of flexible recording spaces and an incredible spec built to fully satisfy
tracking and mix projects. You will relish working in The Motor Museum's unique and inspiring environment boasting the varied themes of
classy interiors, luxurious furnishings, exotic plantlife and colourful, contemporary artwork. Roll up, hoot your horn, and make yourself at home!!!

Liverpool's Greatest Recording Experience...!

The Motor Museum's unique design and very original layout has created a cool and inspiring environment to work in, and the studio boasts a world-class specification of both analogue and
digital gear. So it is no surprise that this has become Liverpool's first-choice destination to bring a studio project to!
The warehouse measures a vast 240 sq meters and is flooded by natural light through the many large skylights in the roof of the building. Beneath them in the centre of the space is the
studio itself, which has been built within a selection of expertly designed cabin-like rooms that yield a fantastic range of sounds and provide plenty of space for bands to spread out in.
In the centre of the facility is The Motor Museum's large live room, stone room, and hexagonal vocal booth, which give artists plenty of options to
record in. The studio is blessed by one of the UK's most mouth-watering collections of vintage guitars, synths, pedals and amps, and a huge choice of the finest microphones and mic preamps.
The main live room was refitted in 2008 to give it a new look and enhance its immense sound, and features customised absorbers which offer a wide variety of acoustics. The large stone room
provides something completely different and is particularly brilliant for achieving a range of excellent drum sounds.
At the back of the warehouse is the control room which is centred around a Neve 8232 In-Line Analogue Recording Console with 32 in-line Channels. It
is accompanied by an exceptional range of outboard consisting of the finest compressors, eqs and processors, and a great selection of monitors.
Throw in the top-of-the-range Protools HD5 Accel rig with 48 in/outs, Lavry converters and an unbelievable selection of plug-ins, and you start to realise the
huge strength of The Motor Museum's awesome equipment spec.
Outside the studio area is where clients will lap up the rest of The Motor Museum experience! The upper level of the facility is a large terrace looking down on the studio, where the
kitchen, rec room and gallery are all based. Clients can lounge on large comfortable sofas in front of the TV, and enjoy the exotic features of beautiful orange and lemon trees growing in the
glorious amount of sunlight. The walls are highlighted by a fantastic collection of carefully picked graffiti artwork to add another colorful angle to the rock n roll
theme, plus a personalised assortment of platinum disks and pop-art posters to complete the spectacular blend of cool and classy interior features.

A World Class Studio in a World Famous City...
The city of Liverpool has a never-ending list of things to offer clients for those times away from the studio. Having held the title of
'European Capital of Culture' throughout 2008, this world-famous city is packed with things to experience and enjoy.
In the immediate vicinity of the studio is the bustling Lark Lane, famed for its creative and alternative venues. This small, colourful and friendly strip has pretty much every type of
restaurant you can think of, plus a fantastic choice of pubs and bars which all light-up in the evening when the hoards head to 'the Lane'!
Further into the depths of Central Liverpool there's countless more attractions and things to do. The city centre is a magnet for visitors
wanting to soak up the culture of Liverpool. From nightclubs to river tours, brand new shopping malls to world-famous landmarks, Beatles and Merseybeat history to
Premiership football, there's a hell of a lot to do if you find the time!!
