Here you can find information on some of the recent releases that have reached the shops. All of these releases were either partially or completely recorded and mixed at Miloco Studios. If we have missed a release please let us know and we shall endeavour to give it a plug !

The first single from Grinderman 2, the second eponymous album from Nick Cave and fellow Bad Seeds' trailblazing side project.

Nick Launay produced the single in Miloco's Assault & Battery 2 studio.

Manchester's big new name featured high on this year's BBC 'Sound Of...' poll. Man Alive is a breath of fresh air, and offers an experimental and progressive blend of pop, electro, indie and funk. Soundalikes not applicable!

Man Alive was partially recorded at Miloco Studios in 2009/2010.

Hoosiers Illusion of Safety Angelic Studios Toby Smith The Hoosiers - 'Illusion of Safety'    www.thehoosiers.com
Indie Pop trio The Hoosiers return with a bang, following their 2007 smash-hit debut The Trick To Life. Album 2, Illusion Of Safety sees the London-based band get a touch more experimental, while still clinging onto those ever-popular pop hooks and humour.

The Hoosiers' Illusion of Safety was tracked and mixed at Angelic Studios by Toby Smith.

Roll Deep Green Light mixed in Miloco The Engine Room Roll Deep - 'Green Light'    www.rolldeep.co.uk
Roll Deep have soared straight to the chart's summit for the second time this summer with 'Green Light', the follow up to smash-hit 'Good Times'. In doing so they fended off competition from a certain Eminem and Rihanna who were also gunning for the UK number 1 this very week!

Joe Hirst co-produced and wrote the track with Danny Weed and John Dunne. It was mixed in The Engine Room and Yard with Interface engineer Matt Foster.

Magnetic Man I Need Air mixed in Miloco The Engine Room Magnetic Man - 'I Need Air'    www.magneticman.net
'I Need Air' is the first single from debut album from Magnetic Man, the super-hyped dubstep collaboration comprising Artwork, Skream and Benga. The trio have already turned heads in their Magnetic Man guise with their smash-hit remix of La Roux's 'In For The Kill'.

Interface's Pete Hofmann mixed the track in The Engine Room earlier in 2010

Villagers Becoming A Jackal mixed in Miloco The Engine Room Ben Hillier Villagers - 'Becoming A Jackal'    www.wearevillagers.com
The latest success story released by Domino hail from Ireland. The Conor O'Brien-led Villagers' debut, Becoming A Jackal is one of the key folk releases of 2010, and is one of three albums Miloco have mixed to be deservedly nominated for this year's Mercury Music Prize.

Producer Ben Hillier mixed Becoming A Jackal in The Engine Room in early 2010.

Stornoway Beachcombers Windowsill Miloco The The Garden Craig Silvey Stornoway - 'Beachcombers Windowsill'    www.myspace.com/stornoway
The UK's so-called 'Brainiest Band', courtesy of a selection of Oxford-gained Masters and PHDs release their debut album. Stornoway are one of the notable indie-folk breakthrough acts of this year.

Producer Craig Silvey recorded and partly-mixed Stornoway's Beachcombers Windowsill in Miloco's Garden studio.

Foals Total Life Forever mixed in Miloco Assault & Battery 1 Alan Moulder Foals - 'Total Life Forever'    www.foals.co.uk
Foals migrated to Sweden where they recorded their second album at Svenska Gramofon studios, before bringing it back to London to be mixed by Alan Moulder. The result is Total Life Forever, the supreme Mercury-nominated follow-up to acclaimed debut Antidotes, featuring singles 'This Orient' and 'Spanish Sahara'.

Alan Moulder mixed the album in Assault & Battery 1 in late 2009.

Keane Night Train recorded Miloco The Pool Keane - 'Night Train'    www.keanemusic.com
This 8-track EP was recorded during Keane's tour of their 2008 Perfect Symmetry album, and they popped by to Miloco's Pool to record the three singles from the record; 'Back In Time', 'Stop For A Minute' and 'Looking Back'. The EP reached the Number 1 spot on the UK album charts on release.

Interface engineer Matt Lawrence recorded the three singles from Night Train in The Pool.

# The Fall - 'Your Future Our Clutter'   
Your Future Our Clutter is the 28th studio album released by the legendary Fall. It is the band's debut release on Domino Records and sees them start another decade with as much energy and vitality as ever...

The album was produced by Ross Orton and engineered by Interface's Russell Fawcus at The Chairworks in 2009.

The veteran Mancunian indie favourites return with the first of two mini-albums set for a 2010 release. The band members uploaded their individual works onto an FTP site where producer Lee Baker grabbed and moulded them into a diverse-sounding record; the eleventh studio album of their career.

Lee Baker and engineer Jonathan Shakhovsky mixed the album in The Engine Room in January 2010.

The 2008 X Factor favourite launches her solo career in style with the number 1 single, 'Once', a burst of contemporary synth-pop from the album Songs From The Tainted Cherry Tree.

Once was produced by Mike Spencer at Miloco in 2009.

Ben Drew aka Plan B makes a drastic departure from his 2006 debut, Who Needs Actions When You Got Words, with the melodic and soulful The Defamation of Strickland Banks. His new album tells a fictitious tale of a succesful London soul singer imprisoned for a crime he didn't commit. Ben plays the character in each of the videos released from the record

Mark Rankin mixed the album in The Engine Room in 2009.

Scuzzy guitar-driven single from Wigan's The Suzukis gets an iTunes release on Deltasonic Records.

The forthcoming Suzukis album was produced by Mike Crossey at The Motor Museum in 2009.

The modestly-named Tons of Friends has a track/collaboration-listing which proves that Crookers have just that! Some of the friends featuring on their 20 track-strong third album include Will.I.Am, Kelis, Soulwax, Pitbull, Roisin Murphy, Miike Snow and Tim Burgess.

Crookers were working on the album at Miloco in December 2009. It is released courtesy of Southern Fried Records.

BRS return with their second album, the grungey, mosh-pit and indie-disco crazed Fire Like This. Material guaranteed to sound vicious on this summer's festival circuit.

Fire Like This was produced by Mike Crossey at The Motor Museum in 2009.

Tyneside indie-rockers Detroit Social Club release their pilot EP on Polydor. The band will be headlining Q mag's 'New To Q' Tour.

The EP was mixed in Sofa Sound by Simon Barny Barnicott in 2009.

Marina was propelled into 2010 as one of the year's massively hyped debutants, thanks to the increasingly noteworthy 'BBC Sound of...' poll. She popped in and out of Miloco on a few occasions last year. Interface engineer Amir Amor also contributed to some of the vocal recording on The Family Jewels.

The Family Jewels landed in the UK Top Ten on release.

'Light It Up' is the grungey new single from Brighton duo Blood Red Shoes. It features on the band's new album, Fire Like This.

Fire Like This was produced by Mike Crossey at The Motor Museum in 2009.

This EP is the first release from US hiphop group Chiddy Bang. Lead single 'Opposite of Adults' cunningly samples MGMT's 2008 hit, 'Kids'.

The single was mixed in The Yard in 2009.

The excellent new single from The Big Pink succeeds the NME award-winning 'Dominoes'. 'Velvet' is released from the band's debut album A Brief History of Love.

A Brief History of Love was mixed by Alan Moulder in Assault & Battery 1.

The '80's soul icon is back after a 10-year absence from the music limelight. Sade's last release, 2000's Lovers Rock went multi-platinum, and we're odds on for yet another big-seller...

Soldier of Love was partially recorded at El Cortijo in September 2008.

Now that the waters have calmed after pumpkin-gate at a little-known ITV-screened singing contest, Calvin is back on the chart assault. 'You Used To Hold Me' is the new single from his number 1 album, Ready for the Weekend.

Calvin Harris produced the album at Miloco throughout 2009.

The R&B legend has a new album, Pulse, out in 2010. 'Make My Heart' is the first single, and has been met with mass-praise from the American public.

'Make My Heart' was written and produced by Lucas Secon. Interface engineer Pete Hofmann mixed the single in Musikbox.

'You Don't Know Love' is the second single from Editors' dark and haunting third album, the brilliant In This Light and on This Evening.

Flood produced the album in Assault & Battery 2 in 2009.

# Delphic - 'Acolyte'    delphic.cc
You have to go back to April '09 for when Delphic entered the studio with Ewan Pearson to start recording Acolyte. 9 months later, and it is the first of 2010's great debuts to have been recorded at Miloco. The album debuted at Number 8 in the Official UK album charts.

Producer Ewan Pearson and engineer Bruno Ellingham tracked Acolyte at Fisher Lane in April and May 2009.

It was great to see Plan B back at the studios last summer, and it's even better to see his new material, an edgy pop-themed departure from his former acoustic Hip Hop, hitting the charts high - 'Stay Too Long' entered the singles chart at Number 9.

The second Plan B album was produced by Paul Epworth, and engineered and mixed by Mark Rankin. Mark and Plan B were in The Engine Room in summer 2009.

Peckham-dwelling 5-piece finally get their brilliant psych-indie debut on the shelves, after recording it in The Pool in the summer of 2007. Oasis' Andy Bell named them his favourite new band of 2009.

The Lea Shores was produced by Ben Hillier and engineered by Ferg Peterkin.

Less known here thatn in their native Netherlands, The Hague's Di-rect were in The Motor Museum with producer James Lewis and Miloco engineer Adrian Breakspear in September 2009 to track this single. It peaked at number 1 in the Dutch singles charts.

Di-rect returned to The Motor Museum in Februray 2010 ton continue work on their new album.

A quick flick through his highly amusing Britpop-bashing autobiography, Bad Vibes, would be enough to tell you that Luke Haines is well and truly over his career-making decade of the 1990s. Back to the music and it would seem nothing's changed, judging by the title of his new record. Most importantly though is that the former Auteurs man has struck gold once more with 21st Century Man, which touches on all sorts from acoustic to glam, and is of course littered with those witty lyrical jabs.

Interface's Pete Hofmann re-joined is longterm cohort to engineer 21st Century Man.

Everyone's favourite raucous Aussie rockers return with a new line-up for their second album - another cracking blast of their discernible riff-heavy blues metal. Features the single 'New Moon Rising'.

Cosmic Egg was mixed in Assault & Battery 1 by Alan Moulder in 2009.

Editors return with the tremendous In This Light & On This Evening, the third LP from the Birmingham 4-piece. Under the creative guidance of Flood the band's dark and anthemic sound has become even more potent. The album climbed to the chart's summit a week after release.

In This Light & On This Evening was tracked in Assault & Battery 2 by Flood in 2009.

The latest star to ride the crest of the new wave of UK Urban music presents his debut album, the effectively named I Am Chipmunk. It's been quite a summer for Chip, with MOBO Awards success and chart-topping singles.

I Am Chipmunk was mixed in The Yard in the first half of 2009.

While the persitent rumours of a Roses reunion once again re-surfaced on the run up to festival season this year, Ian was shacked up at Battery in typically good form, working on his masterful sixth solo album, My Way.

The nation's favourite red-dreaded folkie releases his second album, Rebuilt By Humans, the follow-up to his 2007 blockbuster debut, Handbuilt By Robots. The new record sees Newton explore a whole host of new musical genres and instruments, and has resulted in a colourful and cultural set of contemporary folk tunes.

Newton joined forces with producer Mike Spencer to make Rebuilt By Humans at Miloco.

Yeah Ghost is Zero 7's fourth studio album. The duo have branched out from their chill-out trademark sound, and now incorporate everything from upbeat club beats to organic pop. Features the single 'Everything Up (Zizou)'.

Phill Brown and Spike Drake co-mixed Yeah Ghost in The Engine Room and Alpha Centauri.

Having spent the last few years helping the likes of Klaxons and Crystal Castles launch their careers through their distinct Merok labek, Milo Cordell and Robbie Furze have got round to releasing their own debut LP on 4AD. A Brief History Of Love arrives 9 months after the band's inclusion on BBC's 'Sound of 2009' poll, and also follows their triumph with the Philip Hall Radar Award at this year's NMEs.

The album was partly-tracked in The Pool by producer Paul Epworth and engineer Mark Rankin.

Part of the acclaimed Bronze Rat imprint with fellow artists Seasick Steve and To Arms Etc., Gemma Ray releases her second full-length record, Lights Out Zoltar!.

Interface engineer Ben Thackeray mixed the album in early 2009.

Virgin release the second album from Wimbeldon's Jamie Treays, known better to us all as the amiable Jamie T. Kings and Queens follows the Mercury-nominated Panic Prevention. The boy's back with force... see him shine at Glastonbury ?

Jamie and engineer Ben Coupland tracked Kings and Queens in The Square in 2008.

If you didn't catch them the first time around, Rodrigo Y Gabriela are a couple of Dublin-dwelling Mexican Metalhead Flamenco Festival Favourites; you know the sort. First album was brilliant, this one's super brilliant. John Leckie got involved with recording before Colin Richardson took over the mixing stage at Miloco's Musikbox.

Colin and Interface's Matt Hyde mixed 11:11 at Musikbox in the first few months of 2009.

Post-punk 4-piece who took their name from a Nick Cave tune, release their exciting debut single on Deadly People Recordings.

The single was mixed in The Yard by Jimmy Robertson and James Rutledge earlier this year.

After 'creating disco' a couple of years back, this nostalgic hit-king from Dumfries leaps into another splurge of chart prominence with the more '90s oreintated, Ready for the Weekend. It features the huge number 1 hit 'I'm Not Alone'. More than acceptable this time.

Calvin worked on Ready for the Weekend at one of Miloco's longterm suites at the Battery complex in 2008 and 2009.

Fast-rising Australian 4-piece Temper Trap jetted over from Melbourne to London to add the final touches to their debut album with producer Jim Abbiss. Assault & Battery 2 and Alpha Centauri were both used for bits of overdubbing and mixing.

Jim and the band were in Assault & Battery 2 and Alpha Centuari in March 2009.

Alongside Marillion and three-quarters of British Sea Power, Wild Beasts have affirmed themselves as the missing piece of Kendal's 'holy trinity' of alt-Rock. The follow-up to 2008's Limbo, Panto, Two Dancers sees the band explore into yet more fantastical and downright individual melodic rock than ever before.

Wild Beasts mixed Two Dancers in The Yard with Lexxx Dromgoole in 2009.

Round one of Kid British's summer indie-ska debut. Soak up these 6 summery tunes, chew on an orange slice and ready yourselves for the second half later this year...

The album was tracked in The Toyshop and mixed in The Engine Room by producers Steve Dub and Segs and Miloco engineer Laurence Aldridge.

The man who previously fronted the briefly celebrated 'Mr Husdon and the Library' has moved on a bit. This single features his new pal Kanye West who has described Hudson as 'the new Frank Sinatra', which was quite a revelation considering we all thought that was Steve Brookstein! 'Supernova' is released on MP3 download.

Overdubs on the track were recorded in Assault & Battery 2 by engineer Catherine Marks in February 2009.

Rich File and Wendy Rae-Fowler present the We Fell To Earth album. They mix psychedelic melodies with trip-hop beats and menacing bass lines with such force that one Steve Lamacq made signature tune 'Light's Out' his track of the week in early June.

Rich and Wendy created We Fell To Earth at Miloco throughout 2008 and 2009.

2009 sees a new strand of Doo Wop brought to you by the luminous Vv Brown via Island Records. Travelling Like The Light follows Vv's inclusion on the increasingly coveted 'BBC Sound of...' poll at the start of 2009. In the words of the lady herself, these 12 tracks of "Musical Mashed Potatoes" are for all to enjoy!

Travelling Like The Light was tracked in The Toyshop by Steve Dub and Segs and mixed in Musikbox and The Engine Room by Mike Crossey in 2008 and 2009.

It's been some time since Florence Welch et al first etched their names into the ranks of fast-rising indie stars, which would explain the huge heights of anticipation this release has now reached. The BRIT-winning festival favourite puts on a real performance on her awesome debut LP, Lungs.

Here's a full pelt of fresh-sounding indie from youthful London-based band Bombay Bicycle Club. It's been quite a 3 years since their triumph at V Festival's 'Road to V' competition in 2006. Their debut album hits the shelves courtesy of Island Records.

Ian Dowling did some tracking on the album in The Garden and mixing in The Engine Room earlier this year.

The second album from London's 6 Day Riot is filled with summery folk-pop loveliness. '6 Day Riot Have A Plan' is released on the band's own imprint, Tantrum Records. Features the single 'Run For Your Life'.

6 Day Riot tracked the album with producer Guy Massey in The Pool in December 2008.

One of the many Vv Brown numbers getting the crowds pumped up this festival season, 'Shark in the Water' is the lead single from her debut album, Travelling Like The Light.

Travelling Like The Light, featuring 'Shark in the Water', was tracked in The Toyshop by Steve Dub and Segs and mixed in Musikbox and The Engine Room by Mike Crossey in 2008 and 2009.

Wimbeldon's most celebrated modern-day troubadour makes an explosive return to the indie rock frontline with his 'Sticks n' Stones' EP, the first official release since his Mercury-nominated and NME Award-winning debut, Panic Prevention.

Jamie returned to Miloco last year where he tracked the tunes on 'Sticks N' Stones'. He spent several months in The Square with engineer Ben Coupland.

A new album, a new sound. Everything certainly is new for Mr Penate. The man from Blackheath returns with broader and jazzier tunes for album number 2, the follow-up to 2007's Matinee. Features singles 'Be The One' and 'Tonight's Today'.

The album was tracked in The Pool by producer Paul Epworth and engineer Mark Rankin in 2009. The Engine Room was used to mix.

Jack's second single from the critially-acclaimed sophomore album, Everything Is New. Another track of his newfound jazz and funk-inspired music for all to enjoy.

Time to cry 'Wolf', as Patrick has returned with his fourth full-length, Bachelor, a record loaded with 14 doses of bold and beguiling music. The electro-folk violist has painted another canvas with his finest song-writing brush. Welcome back to his weird and wonderful world!

Engineer Jonathan Shakovsky worked with Patrick in Miloco's Yard, Alpha Centauri and Musikbox studios during the production of Bachelor, in late 2008.

They're back - those cockney rapscallions who two decades ago were celebrating the fact that they had spent more time in the UK charts throughout the decade than anyone else on the planet. But that was the 80s and this is now, and what's most important is that the ever-endearing Madness have returned with their eighth studio album. Liberty of Norton Folgate has been 3 years in the making, and early rumblings are popularly leaning towards the critical stamp of 'their best yet'.

The album was produced by Clive Langer and Alan Winstanley, and engineered by Interface's Finn Eiles. It was tracked in The Square and mixed in The Yard.

Hailing from the Flanders region of Belgium, The Black Box Revelation are a twosome with the White Stripes makeup of guitar, drums and raw rock n' roll. The excellent Set Your Head On Fire has launched them into a world of European Fesitvals, touring with The Eagles of Death Metal and hype and praise en masse, both home and abroad.

Produced by Triggerfinger drummer Mario Goossens, The Black Box Revelation's Set Your Head On Fire came to The Toyshop for the final stages of production in February 2009.

Having formed in 2005 for the sake of competing in a school 'Battle of the Bands' contest, little did Aussie indie-pop starlets Operator Please know then that within two years they would have played Reading and Leeds, as well as tour as support to the likes of Bloc Party and Arctic Monkeys. Their debut album, Yes Yes Vindictive was produced by Simon 'Barny' Barnicott in 2007, and is now released by Brille.

This mysterious band from Southend-on-Sea have been bubbling under the surface for a while, but the kettle is boiling vivaciously at the start of the year. Their cryptic sound has had the talents of Depeche Mode and Einsturzende Neubauten producer/engineer Gareth Jones stoking it along the way.

Following a week after the latest Bullet single of the same name, Scream Aim Fire follows the million + selling 2005 album, The Poison. The metalcore icons manage to take a more melodic route to their previous efforts whilst somehow achieving a greater heaviness and drive than ever before.

Scream Aim Fire was a trans-atlantic works. Tracked on a ranch in Texas, it was then brought back to London for mixing, with producer Colin Richardson and Interface engineer Matt Hyde piloting the crew all the way, musically, not aeronautically, duh.

The Maccabees tracked Colour It In with producer Ben Hillier and his trusty engineer Ferg Peterkin in 2006, in where else but Miloco Eight - The Pool.

Brightonian band British Sea Power are clearly taking the opportunity to do a bit of target audience research for album 3. Having relocated from their hoemtown of Glasgow to the depths of East London, it was only a matter of time before Parka stumbled across Miloco. Disco Dancer was tracked in The Garden by Iain Gore in April 2007.
