The Market Place is a new and revolutionary section of the Miloco website. It is not just another directory listing recording studios but a dynamic and detailed portal of fantastic rooms in great locations around the globe. Miloco's worldwide reach enables us to help put you on the recording map wherever you are based. We can increase the number of people discovering your studio and realising what it has to offer.
As Europe’s leading studio group Miloco runs more recording sessions than any other company in the business. As our range of studios continues to expand we have more and more clients coming to us first with their projects.
Our website is a hub for recording studios attracting 17,000 visits a month. We emphasise the importance of web marketing and invest in Google pay–per-click, Facebook pay-per-click and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), enabling people across the world to discover everything we provide within a few clicks.
Miloco’s vast and ever-growing contacts database receives a monthly e-bulletin containing up-to-date news on the studios and our clients, which keeps us firmly on the radar of hundreds of labels, management companies, publishers, producers, engineers and artists. We are fully established and connected in all corners of the UK music industry, and are rapidly expanding our contacts base across Europe and North America.
Simply being on the Market Place will help expose your studios to a large number of potential clients around the world.
We have built a comprehensive Content Management System (CMS) that allows you to add information on your studio in the same detail as the rooms we market on our own website (www.miloco.co.uk/studios). Your page will be as good as the work you put into it - the process of writing and publishing your copy and images is essentially down to you. Miloco will ultimately have the final say on quality control. If you do require any assistance with web design, photography or other possible components to your web pages then this can be discussed with Miloco as an additional service provided.
The CMS is designed to make editing studio pages extremely simple for users, allowing you the time to focus on the content of your site. Built into the CMS is every tool necessary for you to create web pages in the same style and detail as on the Miloco website, with some very useful additions such as multi-lingual support and interactive floor-plans.
We feel it is essential that we work with like-minded studio owners who share our enthusiasm and goals. For this reason we will not take on each and every studio. The Market Place won't be the answer to all your prayers - running recording studios today can present its fair share of challenges. However we will aim to pass through some good sessions and help your studio gain exposure.
If you state an interest in applying for The Market Place we may ask you a number of detailed questions to assess how your studio is run and whether we feel you are compatible with Miloco. In some cases it may be necessary for us to visit your studio and staff in addition to asking these questions. The costs of this visit (if travel is required) will need to be covered by the applicant.
Once we are fully happy with the studio and after you agree to comply with The Market Place terms and conditions we shall invite you to join. You will be given access to your own Market Place portal where you can build your studio’s online profile.
Miloco will charge Market Place members an annual subscription fee which will activate from the day your site goes live on our server. The yearly rate depends on the number of studios you want to list on The Market Place. Your payment will contribute towards server and marketing costs. There is then an additional commission paid on every booking referred through The Market Place. See below to find out more on the different commission options available to Market Place studios.
10% commission
The 10% commission package is available to commercial studios only. We can market your studio on the Miloco website and explore avenues for new business. We will also take care of the bookings process from start to finish. Your studio will invoice the clients and be responsible for collecting payment. Miloco will take a 10% commission for this service.
15% commission
The 15% commission package is available to commercial studios only. We can market your studio on the Miloco website and explore avenues for new business. We will also take care of the bookings process from start to finish, and will send out all sales invoices and collect payments from clients. We will take a 15% commission on all bookings.
20% commission
The 20% commission is available to non-commercial studios. We can market your studio on the Miloco website and explore avenues for new business. We will also take care of the bookings process from start to finish, and will send out all sales invoices and collect payments from clients. We will take a 20% commission on all boookings.
25% commission
If you require expert management in every area of recording studio operations then this is the option for you. We will take care of all bookings, invoicing and payments, liaise directly with clients, staff the studios, provide technical backup, help devise marketing and press strategies and run your studio's accounts. The 25% deal is not available to all studios*.
Please Note: Miloco reserves the right to decide which of the above is appropriate for your facility. For example, 'Marketing & Bookings Service for Commercial Studios'
will only apply to existing and established facilities that are fully staffed and maintained, and which are open for commercial use.
*The 'Complete Management Service' is
only available to studios in specific circumstances that are determined by and suitable for Miloco Studios and its management team.
