By the time of the release of his debut solo album, The Great Western, James Dean Bradfield already had over a decade of
international stardom under his belt, as the lead singer of the Manic Street Preachers. The Great
Western was tracked in The Square in the winter of 2005 by producer Guy Massey, during a momentary
break James took from The Manics.

The London guitar-pop clan, consisting of such notable Miloco clients as Kate Nash and Jamie T,
saw a new member confidently join in 2007. Jack Penate created a music press stir throughout
the summer of '07 with a short-string of upbeat, feel-good singles. Jack's summer was capped-off with
the release of his debut album Matinee, which was partly mixed at The Square by Interface's
Finn Eiles.

During her sensational breakthrough in 2005, grime artist Lady Sovereign's aggressive and non-feministic
rapping style caught the eyes of many leading professionals in the global music scene, including
those of Jay Z who helped enable her unexpected breakthrough success in the USA. The Square was used
to mix her debut album Public Warning.

The Anglo-Swedish folk-duo, Alberta Cross, won critical acclaim with their 2007 debut, The
Thief and the Heartbreaker, due to the record's uncanny resemblences to the classic
albums of the late-sixties West Coast troubadour scene. The Square was one of several
Miloco studios which they, producer Simon 'Barny' Barnicott and Interface's Finn Eiles
used for making the album.
