The iconic pier is Brighton's ultimate landmark. Take a walk for over half a kilometer into the channel to taste the sea breeze, and enjoy the rides, pubs and coastal views... 

Brighton's large beach is always full on sunny days. It's also a great spot for a walk to blast out the cobwebs, although we wouldn't recommend taking a dip in the shallows...! 

Slightly further out of town is the artificial marina - one of the largest marinas in England. There is a also a selection of boutique shops, restaurants and bars, a hotel, a bowling alley, a health club, a casino, and a multiplex cinema. 

The Brighton Museum and Art Gallery is located in the city's cultural corner. There's a great selection of exhibitions and entrance is free. 

An extraordinary building, built for The Prince Regent at the turn of the 19th Century, The Royal Pavilion looks more akin to regal China than the south coast of England. No surprise then that it houses some of the finest chinoiserie exhibitions in Britain... 

The Traflagar is a Brighton classic. A traditional theme pub with plenty of character, there's a good selection of real ales. Just up the hill from the train station and always guaranteeing a good atmosphere. 

The Great Eastern is very local to The Ironworks. A quaint "local feel" pub with a good selection of ales, and an equally impressive choice of Bourbon, should you require a quick chaser after sampling the local brews! 

A very popular restaurant on Trafalgar Street serving a great selection of authentic French dishes. Notoriosly friendly and efficient service compliments the high standard of food, plus it's just around the corner from the studio... 

A small and friendly cafe and delicatessen open for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. Freshly-made sandwiches and a range of hot drinks are on offer. It is based on Trafalgar Street just a couple of minutes from the studio. 

Coffee @ 33 is a small, trendy and friendly coffee house. A stone's throw from The Ironworks it is the ideal stop for a much-needed latte, cappucino or other... 

The UK's largest and arguably most popular authentic Italian food chain is not far from Ironworks, in the heart of The Laines.

There's a new Pizza Express based on an attractive plaza on Jubilee Street, which has been redeveloped to house a number of modern restaurants. 

5 minutes from the studio is a trusty Wagamama, should you fancy some Japanese or oriental food one evening... 

Popular pub on the bustling North Road. There's a good selection of beers and wines, and a decent food menu. 

One of the town's most famous and popular hangouts is Bill's, a unique cafe and produce store on North Road. It is set within an old depot building and attracts crowds throughout the day, especially for breakfast when they churn out the ultimate hangover fry-ups.
